Mykola Tykhonov

Mykola Tykhonov (Sculptor)

He was born in Vorzel, Kiev region in 1984.

He graduated from the Taras Shevchenko State Art School.

In 2002-2008, he studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, Chair of Sculpture, the workshop of Vladimir Chepelik.

In 2007, he was awarded St. Andrew’s medal of international rating “Golden Fortune”, “The Ministry of Emergencies of Ukraine for Faith and Loyalty” for the sculptural composition dedicated to the memory of the front rank firemen-heroes. The building of the State Inspectorate for Technogenic Safety of Ukraine (Co-author - Yankovska).

In 2011, she was awarded “the honorary distinction of the Ministry of Emergencies of Ukraine” and the order “For Humanity and Mercy” for the “Monument to the firemen-liquidators of the Chernobyl nuclear accident” in Kiev, Kruglouniversitetskaya st., 20/1 (Co-author - Yankovska).

He is the prize winner of the I All-Ukrainian competition “Art as an investment - 2011” according to the magazine “Banker” in the “Indoor sculpture” genre.

Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.

His works are in private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Czech Republic, Georgia, France, USA, China and, others.

He lives and works in Kiev.

2010 - the author of the monument to the sevenfold Olympic champion in gymnastics - Boris Shakhlin - Baikove cemetery in Kiev (Co-author - Yankovska).

2011 - the “Monument to the firemen-liquidators of the Chernobyl nuclear accident” in Kiev, Kruglouniversitetskaya st., 20/1 (Co-author - Tikhonov).
